Monkey, monkey and a beach... Borneo life is good!
Almost a week has past here in Borneo and we been in Malaysia over a week!! but like you say: Times goes fast when you having fun :)
We went to Sandakan last thursday with the local bus, an adventure for itself.. it took like 6 hours over the mountians to get there,, but its really cheap.. it cost us 30 ringit and thats like 80 swedish kronor..
sandakan and its surrondings is famouse for there monkey (and probably a lit more).. so we spent the next two days by visting two diffrent reserves for monkey.. one was Labuk bay where we saw Proboscis monkey, its the monkey with really big nose, so ugly but very rare to see, so that was fun!
Next day we went to Sepilok Orangutang Rehabilitation center.. guess what, we saw orangutangs there.. they are a lot more cute then the other ones... did you know that the orangutang is 96,4% like a human being :) and the name means the "man of the forest".. see i listen to what they told me...
so after three night in Sandakan, we took the adventure again to go back to Kota Kinabalu yesterday.. Everyone we meet have been telling us sbout the great islands they have outside Kota Kinabalu, so this morning did we go to harbour and took like a speedboat to one of the island called Manukan..
It was a really beautiful place!!
we had a great day in the sun, exactly what we needed after a week of doing things and travelling around :) we also needed it for the tan :) only three weeks left until we reach swedish ground and would be nice to have some colour then...
But no rest here, tomorrow we continue our travel again, back to Kuala Lumpur., We are planing to stay there for one night before we take the local bus again up north and see if we can find a nice island to stay on for a while.. thats the plans anyway, see how it works out! i will let you know!!
